I would define myself as someone who is inconsistent.
‘Not staying the same throughout.’
If I am hitting the gym everyday, I suddenly skip it for couple of days. I could eat healthy all day long and then end my day with a fat cake. HaHa its awesome! I would complete all my tasks at work before time and then one day all I would do is sit to write, read and smile. Basically, I like to not stay the same throughout.
I want to continue to keep creating, consistently!
But when you are a Marketeer, you wake up with a lot of fears everyday! 1. What if one more new platform introduces ‘stories’ (Spotify is coming up with it)? 2. How will my lean team create different kinds of content for different platforms that within them have different options of/for sharing content? 3. What if my design or content team quits? 4. What if I don’t come up with any new ideas? 5. What if my brain becomes rotten and I keep recycling the same campaigns? 6. What if no one shows up to that one event where I decided to put all our money?
So honestly, being consistent or consistently good (or bad) is almost impossible. Better still, I can either grow or fall a little. But what will stay consistent over the years is the creation of content. Ironic. No matter, how many bots or better ways to create content are introduced or used, the content still needs to be created.
So taking a leap of faith and mostly my passion for Films forward, I have decided to enter an industry where the results are not consistent.
Confused?
Your future is not consistent. Your work on every project is not consistent. Rather, everyday is a surprise and it may or may not be a result of your hard work. Very similar to Producing content, in this case, the Film industry!
If inconsistency scares you, stop reading.
If not, your life is full of possibilities like mine. Nothing can stop you. Nothing can scare you. Worse case, you will be called inconsistent. Is that so bad?
By the way, I just started working on my biggest content work yet! I realised, for me it will be easy to survive in an inconsistent industry.
Films. Before Anybody Else.
My long lived love for cinema is also coming true. I am calling this company UsherBae Productions.
