Four words that have a negative connotation but define an Entrepreneur.

Recently, I have been going through an emotional turmoil in my Entrepreneur journey. Everyday brings a different sense of challenges and hopes. There are happy moments, followed by instant regrets and sometimes sadness. There are a lot of time you are judged for every step you are taking but as an Entrepreneur you should be always mentally prepared for all of that to happen.

Here are top four words I have been ‘known for’ or ‘been called’ while going through this journey. Preparing you for the same.

1. Aggressive It is important as an Entrepreneur that you follow up on everything. This is your baby and your business. Your life has changed but others are still juggling with their daily tasks. It will be wrong to assume they remember or care enough to make your task their priority. So be aggressive. Follow up. Follow up. Follow up. Till you get the closing statement.

2. Shameless Some of us are shy by nature. Some are too cautious or conscious. However, your business doesn’t know that. It only understands profit and loss. And you dear Entrepreneur can’t afford to loose just yet. So be Shameless. Reach out to people who you are afraid to speak to. Tell people about what you do even when they don’t care. What if it leads to something positive or some connection that you didn’t predict?

3. Annoying It can get annoying for others, not necessarily you, when all you do is talk about your work or find ways to make your work grow. There is literally nothing wrong with it! Remember that and move on. Grow. Everything comes around once you grow.

4. Lost As an Entrepreneur, you will often find yourself lost and consumed with your thoughts. Your brain continuously functions and even when you are trying to concentrate on other things like having fun, at the back of your mind you are always connecting it to your work. It is alright. This just makes you human. It is okay to have multiple thoughts and feelings at the same time. Its temporary and once your business finds stability, your mind will too.

On a lighter note, when you reach out, everyone can only give two answers to you: Yes or No. If there is a 50% chance of someone saying Yes, take your chances!

So let these words define you.
